Forte Consumables - Brake and Clutch Fluid

 

Forté Brake and Clutch Fluid is a high performance glycol ether-based fluid with a minimum boiling point of 260°C for use in all brake and clutch systems including disc brakes on high- speed passenger rally and racing vehicles and has a DOT 4 rating.

 

The brake fluid is an essential part of the braking system of a vehicle and is a vital safety component in the vehicle especially in high-speed passenger vehicles where high temperatures are generated by the disc brakes.

 

In service the brake fluid has a tendency to absorb moisture from the air which causes a significant reduction in the boiling point of the fluid with the consequent risk of vapour lock and possible brake failure.

 

Forté Brake and Clutch Fluid limits the tendency for the fluid to absorb water as compared to DOT3 fluids and therefore reduces the risk of the fluid boiling thus reducing the risk of a vapour lock.

 

Forté Brake and Clutch Fluid exceeds the requirement of SAEJ 1703, United States Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 116 DOT3, ISO 4925 and U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 116 DOT 4 Specifications. Forté Brake and Clutch Fluid is completely miscible with other glycol and borate ester brake fluids but must not be mixed with silicone type or silicate ester type brake fluids.
